A Historic 1860s Coach House Horse Stable in the eastern corner of Adelaide’s CBD
Beltana house is a unique venue where Cheryl lives, works and exhibits. In 1860, Beltana House Gallery, was originally horse stables. Today it’s a compelling and exotic place where visitors can pop into Cheryl’s studio, observe her at work and appreciate the magic, if not the inner world, of her portraits, animal sketches, landscapes and clothing.

‘Radical Textiles’
Cheryl is honoured to be included in the showcase exhibition of Radical Textiles.
From William Morris to Sonia Delaunay, Radical Textiles celebrates the cutting-edge innovations, enduring traditions and bodies of shared knowledge that have been folded into fabric and cloth over the past 150 years. Showcasing the work of more than 100 artists, designers and activists, this major exhibition draws on AGSA’s international, Australian and First Nations collections of textiles and fashion, augmented by sculpture, painting, photography and the moving image, alongside several new commissions.
The exhibition culminates in a room dedicated to high end fashion, featuring garments by Vivienne Westwood, Viktor&Rolf, Iris van Herpen and Jordon Gogos. Overlooking these esteemed internationally recognised designers is no other than Cheryl’s historical coat
‘Winged Beauty” 1988
As said above ‘Winged Beauty’s from her earlier career, it demonstrates her design drafting and making skills and embroidery but does not fully reflect her development in Freehand Machine Embroidery. To enable people to see her work up close she has decided to open her studio by appointment.Cheryl lives in her studio in Beltana House a converted horse stable in Carrington St in the city. Cheryl has over 100 artworks on view ranging from art to wear to her unique free machine embroidery she will also demonstrate her embroidery skills.Feel free to message or call her on 0417813779.
