GALLERY Embroidered Animals

Animals, birds and fish have endeared me to draw since childhood, especially the Zebra, which is my symbol of good luck. The black and white stripe appears in a lot of my art.

Living close to Adelaide Zoo means my inspiration is endless. Free embroidery in varying hatched lines and the texture of the stitch is used to create the allusion of form, feathers and or fur but also brings the animal to life.

My art I hope is a statement of appreciation for our natural world and our desperate need to preserve it for all the beauty and pleasure it gives us.
