Now on the Moon!

It all started with 2 visionaries – Graeme Stevenson, founder and CEO of Put Some Colour In Your Life (CIYL) who recognised the need to develop a digital archive of the techniques and minds of artists for historical purposes, and Dr Samuel Peralta, Physicist with NASA and brainchild behind the Lunar Codex Project, to spread hope during a time of pandemic, economic upheaval, war and climate change and to preserve the heart of humanity for all perpetuity.

Graeme Stevenson, a master artist himself, founded the ‘Put Some Colour in Your Life’ television show in Australia in 2011 to produce a digital record of the diverse creativity of artists and their techniques, to share with the world.

CIYL has filmed hundreds of artists in over 7 countries and is broadcast to millions of people on TV stations and online networks in over 50 countries including UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. CIYL has tens of millions of views on You Tube and hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

‘The Art Museum on the Moon’ a project by NASA and Lunar CodeX to preserve contemporary culture creativity and art: – visual, poetry, film, plays and books.

Dr Samuel Peralta, physicist and the brainchild behind the LunarCodex Project, which in essence is the digitised works of contemporary artists, writers, musicians and filmmakers, launched in time capsules from earth to the moon, for all perpetuity. His hope…”is that future travellers who find these time capsules will discover some of the richness of our world today. It is sending the work of 5000+ visual artists to the Moon from 234 countries.

There will be 6 time capsules in all, launched by different missions. Codex Polaris will be the 5th launch to occur Nov 2024, and will contain Cheryl’s digitaliised artworks and a documentry about Cheryl.

Dr Peralta said the collection was digitally miniaturised and preserved using high-end archival technology on to nickel shielded discs.
