The opening of the inaugural Guildhouse Fellowship was on Friday the 7th of August at The Art gallery Of South Australia. Bernina a Swiss family owned company who arguably makes the best sewing machines in the world. In 1994 Bernina commissioned Cheryl to produce an Art to Wear garment for their international calendar. In 1995 Bernina again commissioned Cheryl to produce Art to Wear garment for their calendars Bernina have also collected several of her artworks.

The Advertiser commissioned 8 artists including Cheryl to create an artwork for the front page of The Weekend Magazine special SALA edition. This was an enormous honour as there were over 6,000 artists exhibiting in SALA that year.
